Robbie Biershenk's appearance on Golf Channel's Big Break

Boiling Springs native Robbie Biershenk, brother of Nationwide Tour golfer Tommy Biershenk, is a contestant on the upcoming television show Big Break, a reality series broadcast on the Golf Channel. The 15th edition of the show, which began in 2003, will air its first segment on May 16.Biershenk, owner of Shanks Golf Range in Greenville, isn't allowed to reveal anything about the show until closer to the first airing. Promos are scheduled to begin running in about two weeks.Participants compete in various golf challenges with the weakest competitor Golf Pros Contract Is Not Confirmed eliminated each week. The overall winner receives multiple prizes that include at least one exemption into a PGA event. The most notable alum is current PGA Tour pro Tommy “Two Gloves” Gainey, a Bishopville native who currently ranks 44th on the money list.
